Registration is now open to all persons interested in the Soil Science Australia (SSA) and the New Zealand Society of Soil Science (NZSSS) Joint Conference, in association with ASPAC.

All persons attending the conference must complete an online registration form. Please read the below information before you complete the online registration form. TERMS AND CONDITIONS

REGISTRATIONS
Early Bird Registrations
To be entitled to the early registration fee you must have registered and paid by Friday 18 September 2020.

Member Registrations
To qualify for member rates, you must be a current financial member of Soil Science Australia (SSA) or the New Zealand Society of Soil Science (NZSSS) or ASPAC.

Student Registrations
A student is defined as a holder of a student identification card from a recognized tertiary or secondary educational institution or a holder of an international student card (submitted in English). Students must be studying full time to qualify for the discounted rate. A copy of your student identification card maybe required at time of onsite registration to qualify for student rate. Without this, the full registration fee will be charged.

Day Registration
Day registration is permitted for a single day attendance only. If you would like to attend more than one day, a full registration must be purchased.

REGISTRATION PROCEDURE
Registration confirmation
Your registration and payment will be confirmed via email upon completion and successful payment. This email will include an overview of your requirements according to your registration form, and payment receipt.

Name badge
All delegates will receive a name badge upon onsite check-in at the event. The badge will be your official pass and must be clearly visible at all times to obtain entry to workshop and conference sessions, and social functions.

Delegate conduct
The conference managers expect delegates to behave in a professional, respectful manner throughout the event. As such, the conference managers reserve the right to revoke the registration and privileges of anyone who is deemed in breach of this code of conduct.

CANCELLATION
Cancellations must be notified in writing to the Conference Manager, Conf2020@soilscienceaustralia.org.au

Cancellation of Registration:

  • Cancellation from time of registration confirmation will incur an AUD$50.00 administration cancellation fee
  • Cancellation 180 days prior to the conference start date will incur an AUD$250.00 cancellation fee
  • Cancellation between 90 and 179 days prior to the conference start date will incur 50% cancellation fee of the total registration amount paid
  • Cancellation between event date and 89 days prior to the conference start date may not be possible and will be at the discretion of the organising committee

All refunds will be processed after the conference. Substitute delegates are welcome without penalty, but please advise On-Cue of any name change, for administration purposes.

Visa Issues:
The Organisers take no responsibility for failed visa applications and the current refund policy applies to all attendees.

Cancellation of Accommodation:
For conditions specific to accommodation cancellation, please refer to the accommodation information on the conference website, accommodation page.

Cancellation of Social Events and Field Trips (if applicable):
Payments are non-refundable at 45 days prior to the conference.

Cancellation of Conference:
Please refer to the disclaimer and insurance information below.

INSURANCE
Registration fees do not include insurance of any kind. It is strongly recommended that at the time you register for the Conference and book your travel you take out an insurance policy of your choice. The policy should include, but not limited to:

  • Loss of fees/deposit through cancellation of your participation in the Conference or through cancellation of the Conference,
  • Loss of international/domestic air fares through cancellation for any reason,
  • Loss of tour monies through cancellation for any reason including airline or related services strikes within Australia,
  • Failure to utilise tours or pre-booked arrangements due to airline delay,
  • Force Majeure or any other reason,
  • Medical expenses (including sickness and accident cover),
  • Loss or damage to personal property,
  • Additional expenses and repatriation should travel arrangements have to be altered,
  • Medical expenses.

The Organisers cannot take any responsibility for any participant failing to arrange their own insurance. This insurance is to be purchased in your country of origin.

ENTITLEMENTS
The full registration fee entitles all delegates to the following:

  • All sessions
  • Access to the Conference App containing official Conference information
  • Social functions: Welcome Reception
  • Catering: morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea

The student full registration fee entitles all delegates to the following:

  • All sessions
  • Access to the Conference App containing official Conference information
  • Social functions: Welcome Reception and Student Function
  • Catering: morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea

The day registration fee entitles all delegates to the following:

  • All sessions [on nominated day]
  • Access to the Conference App containing official Conference information
  • Catering: morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea [on nominated day]

Please note there will be a number of field trips available to delegates from April 2020. Those who are already registered will be sent an email to allow them first access to select from an exciting and educational range of field trips.

PAYMENTS
Payment is possible by credit card, purchase order and electronic funds transfer.

Online Credit Card
The preferred payment method is credit/debit card. Accepted credit/debit cards are Visa and MasterCard. Please note all transactions will appear on your statement as ‘On Cue’. You will receive a receipt automatically with your email confirmation.
Our online credit card gateway is provided by Windcave – level 1, PCI compliant to protect your personal information and credit card details.

Purchase Order
If you require a Purchase Order number from your company, please arrange this before registering and have this number available when you register online. This will ensure that your purchase order number appears on your tax invoice. Your tax invoice will be attached to your email confirmation, please forward this onto your account’s person.

Tax Invoice
If you require an invoice for processing, you can select this option at the end of the registration process. Note this option will only be available until 30 days prior to the event. Your tax invoice will be attached to your email confirmation, please forward this onto your account’s person.

International and Outstanding Fees
All fees must be received in Australia dollars equal to the total amount required on your tax invoice, including all bank fees. If any bank fees are deducted during the electronic transfer the Organisers reserve the right to collect any outstanding bank fees from the attendee at the time of onsite registration.
Failure to pay any outstanding fees may result in cancellation of your registration.
