This Southern Farming Systems (SFS) tool is designed to help advisors and farmers make decisions on liming to address soil acidification. It provides the critical information required to make decisions on lime investment. Users input some basic paddock and farm location data into the online tool. For each option in the drop-down boxes there are simple guides to assist choices. #
The tool draws on years of credible research to provide tailored information about liming application rates, the location and quality of sources of lime, the economic response of the lime application, expected benefits from the amelioration of soil acidity, and when to re-lime. Lime Assist is mainly relevant for south-eastern Australia, southern NSW, Victoria, Tasmania and the south-east of South Australia.#
