This NSW Government book describes the findings from a three year project investigating soil organic carbon (SOC) levels in pastures under differrent management practices in south eastern NSW. The findings include that SOC levels are sensitive to management practices and are higher under pasture. Higher rainfall areas have potentional to sequester additional SOC and applying phosphorus increases SOC in pastures. While this book was written for NSW, it will also be relevant to other Australian regions with higher rainfall pasture lands [PDF 4.8 MB, 60 pages]. #
