Soil Science Australia’s Soil Management Training program is designed to enhance your understanding of soil science and improve soil management practices. The training combines four self-paced online modules with hands-on field training and assessment, offering a well-rounded educational experience.

Dates and locations for the field training and assessment component of the training are determined based on demand and managed in conjunction with our branches.

There is a limit of 15 registrants for each of the 2-day field training and assessment modules, so make sure you get in before the places fill.

As many people are dealing with work, study or personal matters, we recommend allowing three months for the course. Completion date is open-ended at this stage to allow for participants’ individual situations.

It is highly recommended that Modules 1 and 2 (and associated assessments) are completed prior to attending the field days and assessments, but if they are not completed, it will not prohibit students from attending.

Please note that while this pathway does not provide direct accreditation, it is recognised as valuable training on the journey towards becoming a Registered Soil Practitioner (RSP).
